Now you, on the other hand, have already been through your customer's problems. You've solved that problem with your product or service.
So for you, solving your prospect's problems is like more like your ride home from work or the store. You make that trip with your eyes closed, mind wandering, radio blaring, talking on your cell phone, barely paying attention.

Noted Sociologist Robert Cialdini wrote all about how people, like lesser animals, have triggers that cause click-whirr automatic responses. But Cialdini knows that the chirping sounds that make a turkey hen either fight or cuddle its enemy only works on a turkey hen.

Once you do that, your prospect will feel understood. Your prospect's click-whirr responses kick in so that he does what he's conditioned to do.
How do most people solve their problems? they whip out a credit card and paying for the problem to go away.
How to X-Ray Your Prospect
To really get deep into the mind of your prospect, you need a Prospect XRay. It's my method of asking pointed questions to understand exactly where someone is coming from, what motivates them, what scares them, what they secretly want, and what they publicly admit to.
Your Diagnosis
What happens with most of the Prospect XRay readers is that they realize that they've totally mis-read their target market.
They may have totally ignored gender, age, race and other demographic influences that influence what people respond to, and buy.
They often lump together many small groups of prospects into one group. The problem here is that you want your web copy and your marketing to leap out at your prospect so that they almost yell out "This is for meeeeee!!!!" But if your marketing tries to be everything to everybody, nobody will have that reaction.
They learn that marketing for convenience -- saying the same thing to everyone -- is a losing proposition. The more laser targeted the marketing, the more influential and lucrative it becomes.
